- [Instructor] Welcome to another tip and trick for AutoCAD. We're going to be taking a look at some annotation and how we can work with that annotation in the text panel on the ribbon. Now you'll find the text panel on the ribbon in the annotate tab on the AutoCAD ribbon. So you'll notice up here we have annotate and there's the text panel right there. Now, we're going to look at some of the tools available on the text panel, but also as well be aware that we should be using the appropriate layers. So I'm just going to jump back to the home tab first. And the layers you need in this drawing are dimensions and text. You can see them there. I've put an @@ in front of each one. So they go to the top of the list like that. I've set dimensions as the current layer. You need to change that layer to text. We're going to be working with the text in this case.
