- [Instructor] Welcome to another tip and trick for AutoCAD. We're going to be taking a look at an AutoCAD command that is very underrated and also very underused. It's a command called N Copy. What it allows you to do is take nested objects out of things like X-refs and blocks and convert them just to regular AutoCAD objects again. Now we've got a drawing for you in the library. It is 386 NCOPY, copying nested objects.dwg. So download that from the library first, and then we can jump into this particular tips and tricks video. Now, when you open up the drawing in the model tab, you'll find that we've got a couple of blocks sitting there quite happily in the drawing. We've got this block here, so there's a block there on the layer blocks. It's a desk, an executive desk, and we've also got an executive chair. Now, they're both on the layer blocks at the moment.
