Working with dimension annotation and annotative scaling
- We're staying in our Metal Plate_ANNOTATION.DWG file, and we're in the Annotate tab on the ribbon. Now you'll notice up on the Quick Access Toolbar, Dimensions is our current Drafting Layer. But I've also got Dimensions set up here in the Dim Layer Override, kind of a belt and braces thing, current Drafting Layer set Dimensions Dim Layer Override set Dimensions. I am going to use the Dimensions layer no matter what I do. Now that's great, but I'm in the Annotate tab on the ribbon like so, and I'm in the Dimensions panel. Make sure here in your dropdown that you are using the LIL Metric dimensions style. Now we're going to place a few dimensions in the model space for the top view. Make sure you're in top here on the view cube. And also down here in the model tab, there's our annotation scale of this current view. I'd like you to make sure that's at one to one for the moment.
