Using Boolean functions in 3D AutoCAD
- [Instructor] We're going to take a look now at some specific 3D modeling functionality in AutoCAD. And it's incredibly useful as you develop your 3D design for your mechanical model, your mechanical assembly, or component or whatever you're creating. Now we're in the top view of a 3D drawing at the moment and the drawing is called Boolean Functions.dwg. Now I'm not talking gibberish here. Boolean functions are built into your 3D modeling in AutoCAD. So download the drawing first, Boolean Functions.dwg from the library. Open it up in the model tab so that you're ready to go with the video. Now, boolean functions, you'll find them on the home tab on the ribbon when you are in your 3D modeling workspace. And they're in the solid editing panel here. And they're these ones here. So you've got things like solid union, solid subtract, and solid intersect. And what they allow you to do is they allow you to develop your 3D…
