- [Instructor] All right, before we're staying in our 3d plate.dwg file, and you can see our 3d plate now has that thickness, we've got the four holes and we've developed that from our 2d complex region as I stated in the previous video. Now that's great, but what happens now, if I want to add an extra hole to my plate. Do I need to go all the way back and sort of undo everything and go back to the 2d complex region and add another hole? No, you don't need to do that. This is where your 3d modeling skills start to kick in, this is where you can start utilizing 3d auto card to make things work in a 3d environment. So, I mentioned layers previously in the chapter, go up to your layers panel and the home tab on the ribbon and what you want to do is make sure that the zero layer is your current drafting layer.
