Creating plate outline in 2D AutoCAD: Circles and polylines
- [Instructor] We're starting a new chapter now. And in this particular chapter, we're going to work to create a simple 3D project. Now the 3D project is going to be a simple metal plate with a thickness, with some holes in it, with some curves around the edges, and basically a look like the sort of plate you might bolt into say a car engine for example. We have a drawing for you that you can download as an exercise file for use with this particular chapter and the videos in the chapter. It's called 3Dplate.DWG, and you can see it on the screen there in AutoCAD and you see it is a green rectangle, a polyline like so, and a couple of circles over here on the left. Just a couple of quick bits of housekeeping, make sure you're using the outline layer as the current drafting layer in the drawing.
