Altering the UCS manually in 3D AutoCAD
- Once again, we're staying in our 3D design .DWG file. We're looking at how you create your 3D design and the tools that you're going to use to create your 3D designs in AutoCAD. One of the things you would more than likely use is a user coordinate system, a UCS. Now at the moment, you'll notice over here on the view cube, we're just using the standard WCS, the world coordinate system. Now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to create a new named UCS, and I'm going to call it the X Z plane. Now I'm going to utilize the lines and the rectangle that we've created previously, and all I'm going to do is type UCS like so, that's it. And that'll allow me now to create a UCS. Now I can name this as a UCS if I want to. So I can type NA, like so, and press enter if I want to. And it will allow me to enter an option, restore, save or delete. I want to save it, enter the name to save the current UCS, so I can save it there quite…
