- [Instructor] We're starting a new chapter now where we're going to think about communicating our design intent. Not only do we create a 3D model in this course or work with 3D models, we're also creating 2D sections and elevations from the 3D model that we need to annotate accordingly and communicate our design intent. We want people to know how big our 3D house is so that it can be built, for example. Now, we've got a new drawing for you. It's called 3D House Design.dwg, and you can download it from the library to follow along with the videos in this chapter. Now, when we get started, a little bit of housekeeping. When you open up the DWG file, you want to be in the model tab. You also need to be in the top view like so. Make sure you're in the top view. You might want to roll back on the wheel a notch to zoom out slightly, perhaps, so that you can see everything. And also your visual style should be 2D wireframe.…
