Using isometric drafting (ISODRAFT) effectively in AutoCAD

- [Shaun] Another really cool feature in AutoCAD is the ability to generate isometric drawings. Now, an isometric drawing uses a setting of a 30-degree angle or a 60-degree angle to generate what looks like a 3D object. It's not, it's a 2D isometric representation of a 3D object. Now, we've got a new drawing for you. It's called, surprise-surprise, isometric.dwg. You can download it from the library to follow along with this particular video. Now, just make sure, when you open it up, you're in the Model tab. Bottom left, check that you're in the Model tab, and also make sure that you are using the Objects layer. Now, down on the status bar, you have this little icon here. Can you see this one here? ISODRAFT, and it says whether the isometric drafting is on or off. So click on it to switch it on. And then what you'll notice, is your crosshairs change in accordance with your ISODRAFT setting. So if I now click on the flyout arrow here, I can set the Isoplane to left, top, or right. Set…
