- [Instructor] In this chapter, we're going to take a good look at the AutoCAD interface. And for that reason, we have a drawing file for you to use throughout the chapter. It's called Interface.dwg. You can download it from the library, as described in the introduction. Now, when you open up the drawing, you'll see that it is a floor plan. And it's the same floor plan that was in the introductory videos for this particular course. Now, the reason I've got a drawing open in this particular chapter is not really for you to work on it, it's more so that we've got access to all of the AutoCAD interface. If you haven't got a live drawing open, you can't access certain areas of the AutoCAD interface. So it's so much easier to open up a drawing. So I thought I'd give you something more interesting to look at than a blank drawing. So you've got your floor plan with your grid, your dimensions, et cetera.
