- In this video you'll learn how to make dimension substyles. Open the Architectural4 sample file in the Chapter 10 folder to begin. And then type d + enter to open up the dim style command. Right now we have a Standard dimension style that is current. And the drawing also contains a separate dimension style called Annotative. I'll talk more about annotative styles in another video. One thing I'd like to do is change the arrowheads that we have on things like a radius dimension. The architectural tick mark doesn't really cut it in my opinion. You see down here. There's a radius value that has a tick mark on it. I think this would be better if it had an arrowhead. But I don't want to change all of the architectural tick marks because I like the way that they appear on linear dimensions and angular dimensions. So this is where a substyle can come in handy.
