What you should know before starting this course

Before we get started, there are a few things you should know. First, this course will be easier to follow if you're already familiar with Microsoft Project basics like its ribbon tabs, switching views, creating tasks, and filling in values. I don't spend a lot of time on these so we can focus on how to use Project Online Desktop Client to manage agile and hybrid projects. Second, projects' agile tools are available in Project Online Desktop Client, which comes with a Project Online Plan 3 or Plan 5 subscription. These tools support two popular agile approaches: Scrum and Kanban. I explain how to use Microsoft Project to apply these approaches or combine them with traditional approaches in hybrid projects. Finally, you should already be familiar with the agile methodology you plan to use. For example, I don't go into detail on the steps that occur outside of Microsoft Project, such as initial suggestions of backlog features, developing feature cards, and estimating feature points.
