Create sprints
In agile projects, the sprint length is the same for all sprints, and you work on the project for the duration that the owner and the team decided on during high-level planning. In Microsoft Project, you define your project sprint length, how many there are in the project, and when they start. To work on the sprints, go to the Sprints tab, then click Manage. That opens the Manage Sprints dialog box. In this project, Project already added some sprints, but they aren't the correct dates. Let's delete these three sprints and start over. To do that, drag over the three rows, then right-click and choose Delete Sprint. You'll see this message box and it talks about moving all the tasks to No Sprint, but we haven't even assigned sprints yet, so click Okay. Now we have to head to the Sprint Start box to put in the date that we want the first sprint to start, in this case, April 6, 2026. The duration is set to two weeks, which is what we want.
