Build a high-level view of the project
A high-level project view helps communicate when project phases and key milestones occur. To create a high-level view, let's go to the View tab. Then in the Split View section, turn on the timeline checkbox. That adds the timeline pane up above the primary pane of the view. So now we can add summary tasks, tasks, and milestones to the timeline. Start by right-clicking Configuration, and on the Pop-up menu, choose Add to Timeline. It adds it as a bar. Then right-click Integration and also add that to the timeline. Next, we're going to right-click the Start Testing milestone and do the same thing, add it to the timeline. Because it's a milestone and it's a point in time, Project adds it as a callout as opposed to a bar. Now we'll scroll down, right-click Release 1 Build and Publish, choose Add to Timeline, and do the same thing with Release 2 Build and Publish.
