Add features to the agile backlog
After the initial agile planning is complete, including the product vision, roadmap, and release planning, you build a list of features to produce in the project, and that's called the backlog. Let's start by creating a new agile project. On the new screen, click the Sprints Project icon. Now we have a new project, and we're looking at the Sprint Planning Board. Before we get started adding features though, let's set the project start date for this project. To do that, go to the Project tab on the ribbon and click Project Information. Set the start date, in this case, to April 6, 2026, and click Okay. The next thing we want to do is to make sure that Project is set up so that tasks are set to automatically scheduled. Go to the File tab again, and on the left side, click Options. And in the Project Options dialog box, click the Schedule category. Then you want to find scheduling options for this project.
