Merge rasters with QGIS

A tool that I use quite frequently, although it's not necessarily analysis, is the merge raster tool. So for example, if I go into my Raster_Analysis folder and bring in these two ECW files, that's 452D and 453C, two separate files. And I want to merge them together so I don't have these separate files. Now these are ECW. If we double-click on them and look at the information you'll see they're quite small. High resolution, but they're only 13.7MB. That's what's great about ECW format. These used to be very popular, as were the MrSID files. More recently, you might see TIF and GeoTIFF, and that sort of thing. But what if I wanted to merge these two together? Well, if we go into our processing toolbox and type "raster merge", we will find the Merge tool. Let's double-click on that. And then we could browse on all the different raster files we need. So we'll select them all. Now I'm only selecting two, but this could be hundreds if I want to. And stitch them all together. So we'll go…
