Working on multiple projects with a master project
- [Instructor] When you want to see what's going on in several projects and you don't have Project Online, a master project is the answer. Let's take a look at how to create and use a master project to work on several related projects. We'll start with our resource pool which is connected to a couple related projects. So let's find it in the list and open it. When you open the resource pool that's connected to other projects, you'll see the open resource pool dialogue box and there are three options. When you want to create a master project, you choose the third option. It's got a really long description, but here's the bottom line. First, you open the resource pool read-write, so that means you can make changes to it. And you also open all the other sharer files that share the resources in the resource pool and you open them into a new master project file. So let's click that option and then click okay.
