Opening and saving a project file with shared resources
- [Instructor] When a project file uses shared resources from a resource pool, you'll be working with more than one file. That means you have more decisions about which files you want to either open or save. Let's take a look at the opening and saving choices you can make and what they do. So let's start by opening up the system file for this movie the one System_0703. When you do that, you'll see this dialogue box, "Open Resource Pool Information" because it's connected to the resource pool. The option is selected to open the pool so that you can see the assignments across all sharer files. That's what we want. So go ahead and click okay. Now, here's what that does. The first thing is it opens the resource pool. So for example, if you go to the view tab and then head to the window section, click the down arrow next to the icon for switching windows, and you'll see that even though we just opened up the system file the…
