Defining part-time resources using resource calendars
- [Instructor] When part-time employees work a specific schedule, like 10:00 to 3:00 Monday through Thursday, you can make your schedule more accurate by scheduling their assignments during the hours they work. How do you do that in Project? By setting up a resource calendar. So let's start by going to the resource sheet. I already have a resource set up, the Instructional Designer. The units are set to 100%, and we want to keep them that way. That way the instructional designer will be dedicated to the project during their working hours. Now we're going to head up to the Project tab, and then click Change Working Time. We're going to create a new calendar so it's available for other part-time employees who are working the same schedule. So I'm going to click Create New Calendar, and then I'm going to name it something that tells me what the calendar represents. So it's going to be Monday to Thursday, 10:00 to 3:00.…
