- GA4 has some useful built-in report editing new tools that can help you customize your GA4 property to have exactly the reports that you need and nothing that doesn't make sense for your specific situation. Let's start with the traffic acquisition report. This is what's called a detailed report. There are also overview reports, and I'll get to those in a moment. Most of the reports in the reporting menu option have a pencil icon up here at the top right of the screen. If you don't have this, you'll need higher permissions in GA4 in order to edit reports. Let's click this pencil icon to open up the report editing options. Let's take a look at the options here. We can revise the dimensions and metrics that are included. We can add a filter. We can modify the style of chart, and we can create what are called summary cards. Let's go through these options now. First, dimensions and metrics.
