- [Instructor] Throughout this chapter, we've been using the various form tools in Acrobat DC to manually create the fields on the forms we've been playing around with. But as we saw earlier, Acrobat has the ability to automatically detect form fields and do most of the work for you. Now, how successful it is at doing this does depend on the complexity of your PDF form and it might not get everything right, which is why it's important that we spent the time to see how to add and edit form fields manually as well. But let's take a look at how form fields detection works. Now, first, I'm going to go back to Preferences, or if you're on windows you'll go to Edit Preferences. And with forms selected here, I'm going to turn Automatically Detect Form Fields back on. We disabled this earlier, so we could work manually with the form fields, and click okay.
