- [Instructor] Hi, I'm George Maystry today we going to take a look at Maya's redirect tool which is great for doing things such as changing the direction of a straight walk cycle but you can use it for all sorts of different little animation tasks. So let's start off with this character. If I select all of my character you'll see that basically I only have keys from one to 25 but I've cycled my curves in the curve editor. And so I have a post infinity cycle and that allows this guy to walk through the scene on a straight line, but let's say I want it to turn him or maybe walk him upstairs or something like that. Well, I could animate this main node but this main node already has keys and it's already got that post infinity cycle on it. So I don't really want to mess with that.
