Is UQW a Synthetic Sealant?
In what sense?
It is a spray-able synthetic/polymer based "wax/sealant."
It is intended to be a "booster" wax in between full details or regular waxing.
I personally have gotten at least 3 solid weeks of durability with noteworthy sheeting out of it, though. Not bad!
Here`s a couple videos:
After a week
After 3 weeks and several rainy days
Meg`s UQW is amazing
but as Lumadar said, i think its more of a booster wax but if anything, i`d say its more on the sealant side than the traditional wax side.
i put two coats on my car and its going to rain tomorrow, i cant wait to see them beads
=D
Does that mean it won`t hold as well over a carnuba?
Could I use this over KSG that was applied back in December?

If you wash your car once a week, or every 2 weeks, UQW is a fantastic way to maintain a protected and glossy finish for a couple months between full clay and wax jobs.
UQW is a blended wax with both synthetic and natural waxes. So technicaly, it`s not a sealant.Originally Posted by shadow85
Does it matter?
Is UQW a wipe on and off or a wipe on and let it haze and then wipe it off product?
It can handle both methods, but Megs recommends maximum durability when allowed to haze first. Apparently, it does it very fast.

Mike P suggests several minutes to haze. It`s not a true WOWO product. If you want that kind of spray wax then try the three Mothers spray waxes. They`re all WOWO waxes. Very nice too.

I respect the hell out of Mike and realize that he knows more about UQW than most people, but I tried his method (foam applicator/haze/wipe off) and I don`t think it works any better than just wiping it on and off.
A quick note: the best method I`ve found is to apply UQW with a damp microfiber towel, and then wipe it off with a dry one. I think Mike also advocates this method as an alternative to the foam applicator.

You`re right that the Megs copy seems to indicate a WOWO method, as originally stated by Mike P.
However, it seems that was not entirely correct.

So, I am assuming that means most or all factory coats as well??
If you`re going to use a foam applicator you might as well use a regular wax.
