Mapping Marital and Relationship Education Programs:
DIFI’s report on “Mapping Marital and Relationship Education Programs: Current Evidence and Future Directions” provides a desk-review of marital and relationship education programs (MRE) focusing on the Arab region. Through a historical analysis of international MREs and an examination of the pertaining literature the report underscores the importance of support towards the implementation of such programs as well as the challenges faced during implementation and provides examples of international and regional programs as best practices. The report contributes to increasing knowledge about marital education programs in the Arab region by analyzing the reality of available programs identifying the strengths and weaknesses and the challenges they face. The report presents recommendations regarding ways to develop and implement marital education programs in the Arab region and calls for the development and implementation of pre-marital education programs to strengthen family cohesion.

ﺗﻬﺪف ﻫﺬه اﻟﺪراﺳﺔ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ رﺋﻴﺴﻲ إﻟﻰ ﺗﻌﻴﻴﻦ اﺗﺠﺎﻫﺎت وﺗﺼﻮرات اﻟﻮاﻟﺪﻳﻦ ﺣﻮل اﺻﻄﺤﺎب أﺑﻨﺎﺋﻬﻤﺎ، ﻣﻊ ﺗﺴﻠﻴﻂ اﻟﻀﻮء ﻋﻠﻰ أﻫﻤﻴﺔ اﻟﻔﺘﺮة اﻟﺰﻣﻨﻴﺔ ﻣﻦ وإﻟﻰ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ، واﺳﺘﻜﺸﺎف اﻟﺘﺤﺪﻳﺎت اﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻮاﺟﻪ اﻟﻮاﻟﺪﻳﻦ اﻟﻠﺬﻳﻦ ﻳﺼﻄﺤﺒﺎن أﺑﻨﺎءﻫﻤﺎ ﻣﻦ وإﻟﻰ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ وﻋﻠﻰ رأﺳﻬﺎ اﻟﻌﻤﻞ وﺳﻴﺎﺳﺎﺗﻪ، إﺿﺎﻓﺔً إﻟﻰ ﺗﺴﻠﻴﻂ اﻟﻀﻮء ﻋﻠﻰ وﺟﻬﺔ ﻧﻈﺮ اﻟﻮاﻟﺪﻳﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺣﻤﻠﺔ "وﺻﻞ ﻋﻴﺎﻟﻚ" اﻟﺘﻲ أﻃﻠﻘﻬﺎ ﻣﺮﻛﺰ اﻟﺤﻤﺎﻳﺔ واﻟﺘﺄﻫﻴﻞ اﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻲ "أﻣﺎن"، وﻣﻦ ﺛَﻢﱠ ﺗﻘﺪﻳﻢ ﺗﻮﺻﻴﺎت ﺣﻮل اﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﺎت واﻟﺘﺪﺧﻼت اﻟﻤﻘﺘﺮﺣﺔ ﻟﺘﺴﻬﻴﻞ اﺻﻄﺤﺎب اﻟﻮاﻟﺪﻳﻦ أﺑﻨﺎءﻫﻤﺎ ﻣﻦ وإﻟﻰ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ. وﺛﻤﺔ أﻫﺪاف ﻓﺮﻋﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺪراﺳﺔ ﺗﻀﻤﻨﺖ اﻻﻃﻼع ﻋﻠﻰ ﻃﺮق اﺳﺘﺜﻤﺎر اﻟﻮاﻟﺪﻳﻦ ﻟﻮﻗﺖ اﻻﺻﻄﺤﺎب، واﺳﺘﻜﺸﺎف إﺟﺮاءات اﻟﺴﻼﻣﺔ اﻟﻤﺘﺒﻌﺔ ﺧﻼل ﻫﺬا اﻟﻮﻗﺖ ﻣﻊ ﻏﻴﺮ اﻟﻮاﻟﺪﻳﻦ، واﺳﺘﻌﺮاض أﻓﻀﻞ اﻟﻤﻤﺎرﺳﺎت اﻟﻤﺤﻠﻴﺔ واﻹﻗﻠﻴﻤﻴﺔ ﻓﻴﻤﺎ ﻳﺘﻌﻠﻖ ﺑﺴﻴﺎﺳﺎت اﻟﻌﻤﻞ اﻟﻤﺮﻧﺔ.
