Six Flags White Water – On the way to the East Palisades Trail (another great place to visit), you might as well spend some time at the Six Flags White Water – a notable amusement park in the United States, on the eastern outskirts of Marietta. It is widely recommended because the park has many water slide-based rides, of which most are quite safe even for children.
Old Railroad Depot – While Kennesaw’s link with the railways was lost in 1968 when passenger services were permanently terminated after more than 100 years, the station was subsequently converted into a small museum. It now houses various aspects of Kennesaw’s past within its walls. The small wooden structure is a perfect showpiece of how the railroad played an important role in Kennesaw’s history. The other areas show the plight of the Native Americans, who were forcefully removed from their ancestral lands.
SkyView Atlanta – Though not quite within the geographical confines of Kennesaw, SkyView Atlanta is located just 30 minutes away and presents a bird’s eye view of downtown Atlanta. The 15-minute ride in the gondolas of the Ferris wheel rises some 20 stories high and is worth a visit for those looking for a magical romantic escape, especially once the sun has set. Each gondola can accommodate a maximum of just six people for a more personal experience and has fitted seating. However, the VIP ones also come with glass flooring to further enhance the experience.
